Our main projects for 2005 and how funds in the Morogoro Fund will be used are:
YWAM Morogoro is found just outside the town in a place called Kehonde and also at a new site at Lukobe. Our team will be staying at Kehonde and working alongside the YWAM staff in reaching out to the local people, mostly Masai. They will be involved in teaching vocational skills, gardening, pre-school, special needs children, recording Tanzanian songs to make a CD and DIY including setting up a water filter and wind turbines.
They will be visiting Masai villages in the area and local churches, sharing testimonies, drama and songs and helping with cooking, sewing and healthcare.
They'll also spend time around the mission base helping with practical chores and joining with the staff for worship, prayer and fellowship.
Would you like to be involved? Here are some ways you can be ...
Although our team will be involved in many practical tasks, please pray for them so they know good health and safety, can accomplish much, adjust to a very different culture, climate and food, share their faith and grow in their understanding of God and His ways, and for them to work well as a team.
Help by giving money towards tools, educational resources, toys, seeds, sewing things, or help a team member. Each team member raises their own funds for airfare, insurance, stay etc.
Please see Roy Brown who is in charge of the air freight or Val Saxby who is responsible for extra luggage allowance goods, or Angela Grist regarding finances.
